Registration Process

Registration Process

Initial Registration

This is the initial registration process (CR1) to capture the numbers required for each delegation at USI Congress. Immediately after the close of this process on Friday 11 March, we will collect the names of delegates for the Congress.  The Final Names List must be submitted by 12.00 pm on Wednesday 16 March 2016. (Yes, that’s an extension of two days since the email).  The template for the Final Names List is given below.

Payment

On 11 March, USI will issue the invoices for USI Congress to each SU. This must be paid no later than the start of Congress, otherwise delegates will be refused registration.

If you believe that payment of Congress Fees by the due date will be a problem, you must make direct contact with the Congress Director on 01 7099 300 to discuss the matter.

Delegation Sizes

Congress Delegation Entitlements- Provisional

These are the calculated Delegation Entitlements for USI Congress.  They are based on the number of students registered for each college and affiliation fees received. They are not final (though they are accurate) and they have not yet been referred to Finance Committee for approval.  They are placed here as a guide. No figures in this list are subject to any increase.  They are not an indication of how many people will attend Congress – and some MOs have indicated their intention to bring far smaller delegations than indicated.

Observers and Public Attendees

Info for Observers

Accredited observers at USI Congress receive an observers pass which entitles them to observe the whole of the Congress.  Whilst it is likely that all observers will be accommodated at the Congress Hotel, space issues may require us to move some observers to a nearby hotel.  They will continue to have lunches and dinners at the Congress Hotel.

Public spaces

The Congress Director has determined that it is practically possible to accommodate up to five members of the public in the Congress Hall during sessions of Congress.

Media spaces

The Congress Director has made provision for student media outlets to attend open sessions of Congress.  Congress is closed to media before and after open sessions, and media must wear accreditation whilst at Congress.

Register my delegation

Please note that the closing date for initial registrations is set for 1.00pm on Friday 11 March 2016. USI will not guarantee accommodation in the main Congress venue hotel for any delegation registering late.

Filling in this form authorises USI to raise an invoice for the total delegation fees for the Congress, which has been set at €285 per delegate or observer.

There are no refunds due for no-shows at USI Congress, and the fee must be paid in advance of the start of Congress at 12.00pm on 21 March 2016.

You must have read the information to proceed with your application.
This registers the name of the Delegation Leader. The Congress Director will be in contact with this named individual.
We need this on file to send the invoice.
We'll phone you if there's an issue.
You may not select a larger number than specified in the Delegation Size table on this page.
Each observer place is also charged at €285 per place.
