The Union of Students in Ireland says that the Leaving Cert isn’t a measure of who you are as a person.

USI President Kevin Donoghue says that it’s important to keep the results in context.

“The important thing is to keep in mind that while it will be an exciting morning for some people, there are options available there if things don’t work out your way.

“It is important to remember, no matter how good or bad it is tomorrow, the Leaving Cert isn’t a measure of who you are as a person or how capable you are as an individual.

“It’s a big day for a lot of people, but it is one day and there are options available and there is support available there if you need them tomorrow morning or indeed the week ahead.”
