Zeminar is Ireland’s most inclusive event for young people between the ages of 15 and 20, and it will introduce them to some of the most influential powerhouse innovators in Ireland. USI President Annie Hoey will speak about the role young people play in shaping societal changes, entrepreneurship, leadership and equality, alongside other powerhouse speakers such as Fr. Peter McVerry, Bressie, comedian Dermot Whelan, Senator Lynn Ruane, broadcaster and former Rose of Tralee Maria Walsh, Dr. Eddie Murphy, Mark Little, former Irish rugby union player James Downey and Senator Francis Black to name a few.

“The Union of Students in Ireland is delighted to be partnering with Zeminar on this event.” Annie Hoey, USI President, said. “USI is passionately committed to encouraging and empowering young people to excel in entrepreneurship and playing an active role in society. Zeminar is a wonderful event to inspire young people with powerhouse speakers and influencers who have broken barriers and overcome personal hurdles on their way to success.”

The event will include workshops, motivational speeches and interactive classes. Guest speakers will discuss a wide range of topics including sexuality, sport, technology, entrepreneurship, nutrition, wellness and bullying. There will be talk from speakers on the main stage and the areas surrounding the stage will be split up into ‘mini-Zeminars’ dedicated to wellness, careers, extracurricular activities and support networks. Exhibitors will include Foróige, Jigsaw, Spunout.com, an Oige, DIT, Scouting Ireland and Reachout.com.

“Generation Z are growing up in a uniquely challenging and complex environment; unlike anything experienced by previous generations. It is our wish throughout our three-day event to introduce Generation Z to a network of support, tailor-made for them.” Damien Clarke, CEO of Zeminar, said. “To date, the majority of youth-centric events have focused on one or two aspects of teenage life. Zeminar will address all of the issues facing young people in this new, technological age, making it the most all-encompassing youth event in Ireland.”
