Danial McGarrigal

Hi all!

I am Daniel Mc Garrigal and for the coming year I am the Western Area Officer of the Union of Students in Ireland.

I am originally from Donegal, and currently live in Sligo where I spent the last two years as full time President and Education Officer of I.T. Sligo Students' Union. My time spent in the Union in Sligo will hopefully give me the experience need for the role of Western Area Officer.

My role this year is to help all the colleges in the West in any way I can. I will also spend the year promoting USI through different events and campaigns that we will be running.

Some of my priorities for the year are include, improved communications with COs and USI and with each of the different colleges in the west.

Continue the fight against fees in conjunction with the Deputy President and to get more students involved in the campaign.

I will endeavour to set out and run each USI campaign for each college.
