The Union of Students in Ireland has partnered with the Irish Times to develop Campus Times, a new online resource for new and returning third level students. For more information visit irishtimes.com/campustimes

With the release of Leaving Certificate results and subsequent CAO offers, Campus Times aims to provide students with expert advice and guidance as they decide on their college career. Campus Times will host a live Q&A stream so that students and parents can have immediate access to the information they need to make informed decisions.

USI has produced a number of videos for the site with the help of student volunteers and Students’ Unions from around the country. USI hopes to continue developing the project with the Irish Times to provide an online hub for student news and discussion of third level education.

Student journalists and contributors will provide content that reflects the excellent standard of student media in Ireland.

USI President John Logue said:

“The USI is delighted to work with the Irish Times on this exciting project. In the short-term, Campus Times will provide an invaluable resource to prospective college students that are in need of expert advice as they try to make the right decisions. USI’s videos will give them a sense of what to expect from college and our student representatives will also provide advice on the accommodation hunt and how to apply for a maintenance grant.

In the long-term, we hope Campus Times will serve as a hub for college news and discussion of third level education. We want student journalists to provide quality content that will engage and enthuse student readers. If students engage with Campus Times they will become more informed and more concerned with the issues that affect them.”
