Workers’ Rights

Workers’ rights are students’ rights and are a core piece of the work we do in protecting students. We frequently collaborate with trade unions in a wide variety of different sectors to ensure that students’ rights as workers are represented.

We encourage all of our members to join a trade union to protect you in your workplace. As members of USI you gain access to some of the services of SIPTU. You can also choose to become full members or join another union of your choice.

We work with trade unions in several key policy areas and are working to establish partnership agreements with a wide variety of trade unions to ensure that students who work in any sector are protected and represented.
