The deadline for submission of USI Election Nominations has been set by the Elections Subcommittee. Nominations will close at 5.00pm Dublin Time on February 22, 2022. USI launches anti-spiking awareness campaign, backed by Ministers for Justice and Higher Education

The first part of a new Union of Students in Ireland campaign in response to drink and needling spiking has been launched today, with the backing of the Minister for Justice and the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. An awareness campaign that aims to equip students with the knowledge that spiking does happen, how to recognise if a drink or person has been spiked and how to help a friend that has been spiked, is being rolled out by USI and Students Unions across the island today. Postgraduate Student Survey 2021

Welcome to the Winter Postgraduate Student Survey 2021 Through initial surface-level research, it has been determined that there is a disparity in postgraduate student stipends in Ireland. This Postgraduate Student Survey is to find out where these disparities lie. The data collected from this survey will form a national picture of the teaching responsibilities and the funding postgraduates receive. The data will be correlated and presented to the Research Graduate Education Working Group and the National Forum for Doctoral Education Advisory Forum. USI to hold three student protests over three days this month as student anger at Government inaction soars

Students are gearing up to show their anger and frustration at the soaring cost of higher education, at three Union of Students in Ireland-organised protests over three days in late November. Recent research showed that getting through a four-year degree now costs students and their families over €50,000 on average. And with Government showing no signs of reducing the Student Contribution Charge or addressing the student accommodation crisis, USI is launching the Cost of College campaign.
