The Atrium in Trinity College Dublin (TCD) will be full of Christmas cheer this Wednesday 18th December with Dublin College students hosting a Christmas Community Engagement Event with the Union of Students’ in Ireland (USI). The event will take place in the Atrium TCD and starts at 2pm, finishing at 4pm.

Tom Lenihan, President of TCDSU said: “We are delighted to be hosting this Christmas event. It gives each Dublin College an opportunity to engage with local families and provides a fun day for the local children from our respective areas. We look forward to the New Year ahead and getting involved with the local communities”.

USI President Joe O’Connor said: “At USI we believe that student engagement in the community is vitally important. With the New Year just around the corner now is the time for us to get involved in our communities. We have invited local community members and their children to join us on Wednesday to come and celebrate Christmas with us.”

On the day there will be plenty of entertainment for the children, including a visit from Santa with a gift, refreshments and Christmas nibbles for all, balloon animals, facepainting and Christmas Carol singing.
