USI calls on the Irish government and the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Education and Skills to make an historic long-term decision and invest in the publicly-funded third level education model as outlined in the Cassells report. USI says that an income-contingent loan scheme is not a viable solution to third level funding as a burden of €20,000+ debt upon graduation will deter people from applying to college.

USI emphasises that the financial strain of college spans across all communities and groups including parents, children, staff and teachers – not just students. If you want to get involved in the campaign as a campus ambassador promoting the campaign, talking to the media, being involved in videos, help USI lobby and help your Students’ Union then fill out this form. This will be on-going throughout the year and ideal for anyone who wants to be or is an activist!
