Gaeilge
Is eagraíocht dhátheangach í Aontas na Mac Léinn in Éirinn (AMLÉ). Tá polasaithe teanga ag an Aontas a chintíonn go mbeidh an Ghaeilge in úsáid ann agus go mbeidh sí feiceálach in aon fheachtas nó fhoilseacháin a scaiptear in ainm na heagraíochta. Tá Leas-Uachtarán don Ghaeilge togha san Aontas a thugann tacaíocht don Aontas ina iomlána chun an teanga a chur chun cinn.
Tá sé mar sprioc ag AMLÉ an Ghaeilge a neartú, ní hamháin ag an tríú leibhéal ach ar fud an oileáin. Tuigeann AMLÉ tábhacht na Gaeilge inár stair agus inár dtodhchaí, agus creideann gur chór go mbeidh ról lárnach ag an dteanga sa phobal ag leibhéal áitiúil agus náisiúnta.
The Union of Students in Ireland is a bilingual organisation. The Union employs policies which ensure that the Irish language is used and is visible in all campaigns and publications which are published in the name of the organisation. A VP for Irish is elected onto the OB each year whose role it is to support the language within the organisation as a whole.
It is an aim of the USI to strengthen Irish not only at the third level but throughout the island of Ireland. The USI understands the importance of the Irish language in our past and in our future, and believes that Irish should have a central role at community and national level.

Coiste Cultúrtha
Tá an Coiste Cultúrtha mar fho-choiste de chuid Comhairle Náisiúnta AMLÉ ina dtagann oifigigh lánaimseartha, oifigigh pártaimseartha agus mic léinn traidisiúnta le chéile le feachtais agus imeachtaí a reáchtáil agus le cúrsaí Gaeilge a phlé i gcomthéacs náisiúnta agus áitiúil. Buaileann an Coiste le chéile gach sé seachtaine agus cruthaíonn baill an choiste polasaí don Chomhdháil Náisiúnta le ról an LU don Ghaeilge a fhorbairt agus le polasaí Gaeilge in AMLÉ a threisiú. An Coiste Cultúrtha is a sub-committee of USI National Council where full-time officers, part-time officers, and traditional students come together to run campaigns, events and to discuss the Irish language in national and local contexts. The Coiste meets every six weeks and members create policy for USI National Congress to develop the role of Leas-Uachtarán don Ghaeilge and to strengthen current Irish language policy in USI. The Coiste is run bilingually and is open to all members of USI no matter their standard of Irish, once they are dedicated to promotion of the language. The Coiste has representatives from colleges in the North to create a link between students in the South and those in the North.

An Foclóir Aiteach
Is eard atá i gceist leis an bhFoclóir Aiteach ná bunachar téarmaíochta do phobal LADT+ gur féidir leo iad féin agus a aitheantas a chur in iúl i nGaeilge. Creideann AMLÉ go bhfuil sé de cheart ag daoine a bheith in ann labhairt faoina bhféiniúlacht i bpríomhteanga na tíre seo. Rinneadh an obair seo in éidí le TENI agus BeLonGTo.
An Foclóir Aiteach is a database of terminology for LGBTQ+ students so that they can identify themselves in Irish. USI believes that people have the right to be able to talk about their identity in the first language of the country. This work was done in conjunction with TENI and BeLonGTo.
