USI Complaints Procedure – Projects and Grant Funded Programmes
The Union of Students in Ireland will accept any complaints submitted by members of USI in relation to projects and grant funded programmes.
In every case, complaints will be treated seriously. In the event that a complaint is made which indicates the possibility or likelihood of criminal activity having taken place, USI will instruct legal counsel to consider the matter and will not engage in investigation.
Complaints about conduct of staff
All complaints about conduct of staff (which for these purposes includes USI Officers) should be submitted to the USI General Manager in writing to the organisation’s headquarters.
The General Manager will consider the case and take the actions s/he deems necessary.
The General Manager will communicate with the complainant within 30 days of the conclusion of his/her consideration of the issue.
Complaints about the conduct of a campaign or materials
All complaints about content of materials of the conduct of a campaign should be submitted to the USI General Manager in writing to the organisation’s headquarters.
The General Manager will consider the case and take the actions s/he deems necessary.
The General Manager will communicate with the complainant within 30 days of the conclusion of his/her consideration of the issue.
