What are submissions?
On behalf of USI’s members, the union responds to and offers observations on a wide range of consultation and review exercises. Government is required to consult with ‘stakeholders’ (groups of people who might be affected by policy or changes to policy) when changes are being made to government policy or processes. These aren’t always in the education sphere but often involve aspects of process and law which affect students more broadly.
