Comment: I gladly and fully commit to the student manifesto and all of it’s aims most particularly to the ending of Direct provision my current day job is with South Dublin County Partnership as Integration and Housing Support Officer for the migrant community in South Dublin and beyond. I work with refugees and asylum seekers on a daily basis so the issue is very close to my heart and I am very happy to see it on the agenda for USI.

Comment: I support fully publicly funded third level education in Ireland and reject any move towards a student loan scheme system and I will continue to seek to shape Green Party policy to ensure commitment to this goal. I will support the provision of dedicated, affordable student accommodation near TUD Tallaght Campus, where those projects are developed in tandem with the provision of suitable housing for local communities.
I support ending the direct provision system in Ireland and fully support the integration of refugees and asylum seekers in Tallaght and South Dublin.
I want increased investment in public transport links, in rural and urban areas, including improved cycling facilities. I will strongly advocate for improved access to waste reduction and recycling facilities in Tallaght and South Dublin. I will demand significant efforts to reduce the amount of single use plastic used in Council activities and by local businesses. Providing increased initiatives for carbon emission reduction across council services, for homeowners and business owners is top of my agenda should I be elected and I will continue to reiterate the Green Party’s call for a deposit and return scheme, and similar initiatives, to reduce dramatically our reliance on single-use plastics.
I look forward to meeting with TUD Tallaght Campus Students’ Union in the first year of my term, if elected.
