The Union of Students in Ireland has a new Officer Board.

The new team took office on 1 July 2015 and will serve until the end of June 2016.  They’re led by Kevin Donoghue, who previously served as VP for the Border, Midlands and Western Region and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance.

Kevin Donoghue is the President of the Union of Students in Ireland. Previously Kevin was the USI Vice President for Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance, USI Vice President for the BMW Region and graduated from NUI Galway with a Postgraduate in Law.

Kevin is from Doocastle in Mayo. During his time in Galway Kevin was involved with the Witless music event and served as both the Arts Convenor and Postgraduate Officer in his Students’ Union. An enthusiastic and animated student activist he considers his time as Class Rep to be one of the most rewarding experiences of his time in college.

NUS USI President is Fergal McFerran

Fergal is the President of NUS-USI, which places him on the Officer Board of the Union of Students in Ireland as Northern Area Officer, and the National Executive Committee of the UK National Union of Students.  He studied at Queen’s University Belfast and previously served as NUS-USI Deputy President.
