USI will launch the new national student mental health campaign ‘Open Up’ on Monday 21 March.

This campaign will encourage third level students to open up about their mental health, both to their friends and family, and with mental health professionals when needed.

As we emerge from COVID-19 we are aware that mental health issues are on the rise. Pre-COVID data indicated that many students who had never sought help for their mental health had high levels of distress so the campaign aims to break down the stigmas that still surround talking about our mental health.

The programme aligns with the government’s Connecting for Life principles and is directed by student representatives, based on work within the student community.

The launch event will feature talks and a panel discussion, as well as an overview of the campaign, with lunch provided.

All welcome.  To register to attend, please book below.
