For the Government to commit to increasing the threshold and allocation given through the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) grant scheme. USI welcomes funding for Student Housing Project Manager to Find Solution for Student Housing Crisis
The Union of Students in Ireland has welcomed the allocation of €49,000 in support of the appointment of a Student Housing Project Manager to help identify additional student housing, including ‘digs’ and lodgings in private homes, as the next academic year approaches. Students to Participate in World’s First LGBTI+ Youth Strategy
Third level students across Ireland are encouraged to participate in the world’s first LGBTI+ Youth Strategy being conducted by the Department of Children and Youth Affairs under the direction of Minister Katherine Zappone and chaired independently by journalist Una Mullally. The Union of Students in Ireland along with the Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA), National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) and BelongTo, are promoting the event to young people between 15-24 to get involved and ensure they are part of shaping the LGBTI+ Youth Strategy for Ireland.
