MSc Scholarship Opportunities in Petroleum-Related Courses

The Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources is currently offering two scholarships for students undertaking MSc degrees commencing in the academica year 2013/14 in a petroleum-related topic of particular relevance to hydrocarbon exploration and production in Ireland. The level of support offered will be for 70% of the total cost of fees, fieldwork, travel and consumables for the course or a maximum of €12,500, whichever is the lesser. New President closes USI Congress

Donegal native John Logue has been elected as new president of the Union of Students in Ireland (USI). The 23-year-old UCD law graduate will take up office on July 1. Logue was elected today by delegates gathered for USI’s annual congress in Galway and will succeed Gary Redmond, who has spent two years at the helm of USI.
