First English-Irish Language LGBTQ Dictionary Launched

A new Queer Dictionary for the Irish language was launched today in DCU as part of a collaboration between the Union of Students in Ireland (USI), BelonG To Youth Services, and the Transgender Equality Network of Ireland (TENI) with the support of the  Joe McHugh, Minister for Gaeilge, An Gaeltacht and the Islands. The Queer Dictionary, translated as ‘An Foclóir Aiteach’ in Irish, is the first of its kind in Ireland with over 100 words and terms translated. USI Partners With gradireland #FYI Event

gradireland partnered with the Union of Students in Ireland (USI) and the Association of Higher Education Careers Services (AHECS) respond to concerns from students on their employability prospects. Latest gradireland research (conducted by international research company trendence) reveals that over 62% of Ireland’s students are “worried about their future career” and only 61% believe that their course provides them “with the right skills for the labour market”. 1 In 10 Students Living In Digs, Says USI The Union of Students in Ireland (USI) is today encouraging homeowners to rent their spare rooms to students during the college term can avail of €14,000 tax-free a year from a rent-a-room relief scheme available.
