With just two weeks left until polling day on May 25th, travel bursaries have been made available for Irish students to travel home   The Union of Students in Ireland (USI) welcomes the UK wide ‘Home to V8te’ campaign from NUS-UK alongside NUS-USI to campaign for Irish students studying in institutions in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to travel home to vote in the referendum on the Eighth Amendment on May 25th. USI Launches Study on Students’ Experiences of Harassment, Stalking, Violence and Sexual Assault. The public launch of the “Say Something” research study findings of students’ experiences of harassment, stalking, violence and sexual assault, took place today, Tuesday, 10th September from 10.30am at Trinity Long Room Hub, Trinity College, Dublin. Keynote speaker Senator Ivana Bacik launched the findings of the “Say Something” study along with Ellen O’Malley Dunlop, CEO of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre. This Week in USI March 5th – 10th, 2017

General: 2,027 students from Maynooth University (MSU) voted to remain with the Union of Students in Ireland (USI) with a total of 2,142 votes cast. Polls opened at 9am on Wednesday the 8th of March and closed at 6pm on March 8th. Final result was 95.7% of MSU voters said yes to USI. Read out statement here.
