96% of students in GMIT have chosen to remain affiliated to USI (Union of Students’ in Ireland). With a total valid poll of 1076 votes, 1032 students voted ‘Yes’ to affiliation, with just 44 opposing and 6 spoilt votes. This result will see GMIT Students’ Union, which represents Mayo, Letterfrack, Mountbellew and the Main Galway campuses remain one of USI’s member organisations.
